The entire House of Reps is up, a third of the Senate, 11 governorships. All the states have elections for state legislatures, judgeships, etc. Then there's all the local elections.

Yes, hopefully it will, because they're doing exactly the same thing (indeed some of them are the same people), only the ones who went as far as voting for Trump had twice the electoral effect of those who merely stayed at home.

Two Sanders supporters who stay at home have the same electoral effect as one Sanders supporter going out and voting for Trump. Imagine that we're super early in the vote count, and Democrats - Sanders supporters included - are voting Blue no matter who, and Biden is 2-1 up, after the votes of two Sanders supporters. If those Sanders voters has stayed at home, Trump would be 1-0 up instead. If one flipped to Trump, Trump would be up by one vote 2-1. If just one of the Sanders supporters stays at home, the count would be 1-1.

Play that scene out millions of times across the country, and that will decide the election, as it did in 2016. The question is, do Sanders supporters, and Obama-Trump voters, want to be bit players in that nightmare scenario. If a second Trump term is not a nightmare for them, then they may answer "Sure". Everyone else should get out and vote for whoever the Dems put forward, even Biden.

If Biden supports universal health care, he's done a wonderful job of not making it known. Just the other day he said that medicare for all wouldn't have stopped this pandemic. He's definitely not going to be trying to get that done for us. The majority of people want it.

Indeed. Although I suspect that however minimal the chances are of universal health care under a Biden presidency, like so many other things it would be impossible under a tRump kleptocracy.

Wisconsin elections are in the news. One thing that strikes me is the queuing that occurs, I realise the number of polling stations was reduced, is that the main reason for queues or is that still pretty common? If so is that mainly due to population? Our queues here are tiny by comparison. We also generally do so on a weekend.

There's probably a lot of reasons why facilities for voting are inadequate, but the problem is getting worse.

Now what if Biden croaks? President Cuomo? Who probably also won't be stumping for universal health care, but is apparently vastly more mentally competent than Biden.

Correction: Bernie ended his campaign, but will not withdraw from remaining primaries. There is difference. If Biden cacks Bernie has earned the nomination by reason of his delegate count.
