Of course, I didn't know it was par for the course because I've never had the misfortune to engage with this chap here, although I've engaged with similarly discursively deficient and irrational trolling on other platforms to recognize what I'm seeing.

Hollywood stars read ‘adaptation’ of Mueller report in deranged stage ‘performance’

25 Jun, 2019

By Danielle Ryan

With America facing a dizzying array of social and political challenges, an impressive cast of Hollywood actors have taken their civic activism to the next level — with a live stage performance of the Mueller report.
This is no joke. There is indeed video evidence of the bizarre stunt floating around the internet, in which the angry band of Russiagate devotees are seen dramatically reading aloud from Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Robert Schenkkan’s “adaptation” of Robert Mueller’s report.
...

...
Monday’s one-night-only performance condensed the 448-page Mueller report into “ten acts” performed by big-name actors like Annette Bening, Kevin Kline, Alyssa Milano, John Lithgow and Kyra Sedgwick — and was hosted by LawWorks, an organization which “educates the public on the importance of the rule of law.”

The one hour and twenty-minute-long performance was even promoted by former US Secretary of State John Kerry, who called it an “act of public service.” No word yet on whether or not Hillary Clinton was sitting in the front row.

Can this farce get any sadder? Why are so many Americans desperate to hold on to the idea that their president is a Russian agent? Shouldn’t the findings of the Mueller Report — again, no evidence of a conspiracy with Russia — have filled them with relief?

As if the play itself wasn’t mental enough, the whole charade was made even more ridiculous by how seriously it was taken by establishment media. MSNBC’s Morning Joe co-hosts Mika Brzezinski and Joe Scarborough gushed about the “great” performance, while the New York Times’ “review” (yes, they did a review) called it “fitting” for the political era.

You do have to admit though, there is something quite fitting about it. If any group of people could bring more life and drama to the anti-climactic Mueller Report it would be Hollywood actors. They’re generally quite good at pretending things that never happened actually did.

Sounds great

Glad to know there are people who won't let the Mueller report go. Trump needs to be held accountable and join the list of others who have been taken to task, indicted, and convicted.

That appears to be the consistent pattern and it's a major problem in the US at the moment because, after 2 years and many millions of dollars spent, for a considerable quantity of the population it may as well never happened because they don't bother reading the report and just follow the party line unthinkingly. Over 30% of Americans polled believed the Mueller report exonerated Trump... and where would they have got that idea? From Trump. It's so obviously deficient, it really makes you wonder. Any which way, it reiterates the notion that Trump's not the problem, but rather is a symptom of the problem.

The sad thing here is that it's overwhelmingly generalized, and I don't see any coming back from it. Who was saying that extreme polarization in the US wasn't a poblem again ?

Wonder if the GOP will be hostile to Mueller.

Robert S. Mueller III, the former special counsel, has agreed to testify in public before Congress next month about his investigation into Russia’s election interference and possible obstruction of justice by President Trump, House Democrats announced on Tuesday night.

Coming nearly three months after the release of Mr. Mueller’s report, two back-to-back hearings on July 17 before the House Judiciary and Intelligence Committees promise to be among the most closely watched spectacles of Mr. Trump’s presidency. They have the power to potentially reshape the political landscape around his re-election campaign and a possible impeachment inquiry by the Democrat-controlled House.

To the extent that the Trump administration is imposing sanctions (and wielding the threat thereof) on several countries around the world, it's at least tangentially on-topic.

gaslight
/ˈɡaslʌɪt/

verb
gerund or present participle: gaslighting
manipulate (someone) by psychological means into doubting their own sanity.

No "gaslighting" needed. Anyone who refuses to recognise the dangers of a weaponised dollar in the hands of Trump is genuinely insane.
This is an administration that openly threatens its supposed allies with economic warfare...

What a garbage article.

Concentration camp (noun): a place where large numbers of people, especially political prisoners or members of persecuted minorities, are deliberately imprisoned in a relatively small area with inadequate facilities, sometimes to provide forced labor or to await mass execution

The detention facilities that many are being held at are indeed a place where a large number of people are deliberately imprisoned in a small area with inadequate facilities. Children don't have fucking beds to sleep on.

I would also like to point out that many people died in concentration camps back in WWII, not due to gas, or being shot, but due to Typhus and other sanitation based diseases. This semantic argument people are engaging with to try and downplay the horrific acts the current US administration is condoning is quite frankly alarming.

So the author of that RT shit piece can go fuck themselves. Children and adults are being held in inhumane conditions in tight quarters for political reasons i.e. the Trump administration is a racist one. It needs to stop.

The gaslighting is when you post a link to a document that has nothing to do with Trumpian policies or the US dollar (it was about EU sanctions and all currency references were to the Euro) then try to make me read some RT disinformation or other to make me doubt my own sanity.
