To what entity does "it" refer in this phrase? Because Scotland doesn't have one.

Look carefully. Do you really think you are clever with that dirty trivial remark. Reported anyway.

One?

Local government in Scotland is organised through 32 unitary authorities[1] designated as Councils[2] which consist of councillors elected every four years by registered voters in each of the council areas.

I assume you are referring to the devolved Parliament of the Scottish Government as the "one"? It's not a regional council, by any definition.

Reported for referring to your argument as the cum dribble it is. This has been sanctionable since when?

What the fuck are you going on about now?

Children aren't mentioned in the FUA. There's one occurrence of "child", where it states that child porn is one of the things that are not allowed (1.2.a).

But we are all citizens of just one country the UK there is no such thing as a English or Scottish citizen

The United Kingdom is a union state comprising three countries and one province. Namely England and Scotland and Wales and Northern Ireland. If it was a country then it would only have just the one capital instead of four [ London / Edinburgh / Cardiff / Belfast ] But none of them is the capital of the U K but the country or province within it

I was born in Birmingham which makes me English because that is my country of origin. My country of origin is not the United Kingdom because that is not a country as such. The U K may be treated as a country for reasons of practicality but it is really a union state. If the U K was just one country then Scottish independence could never have been voted on. Because a country cannot vote for independence from a union state of other countries if the union in question is just one country in itself [ one country may of course be split up into smaller countries but that is not the same thing ]

This is why Northern Ireland is a province and not a country because it is still part of the island of Ireland even though it is not ruled from Dublin like the rest of it is. And for that reason I usually refer to it as Ireland because its political allegiance does not belie its geographical location. And also as someone who is of Irish ancestry themselves I refuse to use its relatively recent historically acquired title for it rightfully belongs to the Irish and not the English. But that is a completely separate issue to what is being discussed here so just saying. Nonetheless the fact of the matter is that Northern Ireland is a province in a union state. Albeit one that is paradoxically connected to another sovereign state which has precisely zero jurisdiction over it even though it obviously should. So it is most definitely not of the same status as England or Scotland or Wales even though for reasons of practicality it is sometimes treated as such in the same way as the U K itself also is

You can be English/Scottish/Welsh/Irish and British. It doesn't have to be an either/or thing.

I support Scotland (although I was born a stone's throw from The Arms Park) but I'm still first and foremost British. Do you support the Lions?

I haven't followed as to how this thread got derailed, but I tend to support England, Ireland, Wales and Scotland against France and Italy. Beyond that I tend to support the underdog an hope for a good game.

It's a completely misnamed competition , the UK should have a single team for football and rugby (like it does in the Olympics) Abolishing these regional teams would play a small part in getting rid of the mess we are in at the moment

I thought your little dig was childish and that was my way of saying so. If you think I've broken the FUA then report it. I see you have put your age on your avatar. Ironically I find that (the avatar) somewhat childish as well.
