Back to the NFT grift - it appears that it was an even bigger grift than originally thought:

Well, that does make it clearer how they're meant to be indicative of his career.

Agolf Twittler is calling for violent protests should he get the perp-walk treatment next week. McCarthy and Pence calling the threat of indictments an abuse of power, their lives being threatened on Jan 6 notwithstanding.
What's seriously effing absurd is that he can still run for office even if he's actually imprisoned?

Trump posted this on Truth Social yesterday, fancying himself as some sort of Al Capone wiseguy.

It's apparently managed to get even worse than a former President apparently messaging a violent attack on a district attorney, with Trump calling Bragg a 'degenerate psychopath' and threatening 'potential death and destruction' if he is charged.

I don't know how these don't constitute extremely serious offenses by themselves, even were he perfectly innocent of everything else.

Neither do I. It certainly shows Merrick Garland's DOJ are cowardly to let this shit draw out so long. It's not even clear if they'll do anything at all. Since the Mueller investigation, it's been clear and publicly known that he has committed multiple crimes. The stupid OLC memo gave Mueller an excuse to not prosecute him. But after he left office (before that even) even more crimes came to light and then, there was no excuse to not indict. We're well past the stage of "letting them cross their t's and dot their i's." :nono:

Sorry, I'm Captain Obvious but I had to rant. This shit is fucking stupid. Do we have laws that count or not?

Holding his first rally in Waco Texas shows exactly what section of the U.S. populace he's appealing to.

I had thought his base is shrinking. If it is it looks like the dangerous stupidity and insanity of his supporters is concentrating.

rising gas prices are just a ploy by Biden to make Trumps base pay exponentially more and more as they have to drive in from further and further away to make the crowd big enough to tickle his ego :sherlock: :tinfoil:

Given how many of them drive SUVs with worse fuel economy than a small warship, and are fans of such excremental ideas as ."rolling coal", this could actually pan out in this way even without being planned from the top :)

Criminal defendant Donald Trunk. Too bad it's the least serious and most tenuous case. Hopefully Georgia or DOJ indicts very soon.

Donald Trump indictment: Ex-US president to be charged over hush money (BBC)

From what I can gather the trial is likely to take place.... next year....

Cross posted - but as for "most tenuous" his lawyer has already been convicted and served time for making the payment with campaign funds on Trump's behalf. To my mind that's not exactly "tenuous", although given the operation of the US legal system when it comes to prosecuting rich white folks, he's likely to walk. That's not because he isn't as guilty as hell or there's a lack of evidence though.

Every Republican Sycophant wrote:It is an outrage that Donald J Trump is being indicted for committing a crime - an affront to the rule of law that the president, having committed overtly illegal acts, can be treated as if he were a criminal. To think that a former president could be charged for illegally paying hush money to a porn star in order to win the free democratic election that made him president could happen in the great nation of the United States of America. What an embarrassment to this nation! These radical lefties won't stop trying to make Trump face the consequences of his own illegal actions! Just like all the other illegal activities the former president engaged in and his subordinates went to prison for, this is obviously a witch hunt!

Cohen pleaded guilty. If Trump takes it to trial, a jury may produce a different result. It's the most tenuous because legally it's being considered a campaign contribution, when that's not actually what it was. In the Georgia case there should be no doubts. In the classified documents case, a little less certain, but still more so than NY. In the insurrection, at least by the House committee's investigation, is backed by copious evidence.
