All of the violence, venality and corruption is on full view in these hearings, but the undertone coming from many people is that they dodged a bullet while we all know that the bullets are still being fired.

The witness-tampering issue emerged during the Jan. 6 select committee's sixth hearing on Tuesday, when Cheney revealed that some witnesses reported receiving veiled threats from allies of former President Donald Trump to do "the right thing."

The justice dept should pounce on this immediately, referral or not. And expedite the prosecution, not investigate for 2 years first. If I tampered with a witness in a case against me, they'd kick my door in at 5 am and drag me out in my underwear.

Prosecute the fall guys. I know they aren't dragging Trump out off of his gold toilet, but the patsies are still culpable for their own actions. If they're getting arrested left and right, maybe eventually he'll have fewer people willing to go to bat for him. I think now the hearings are starting to help, just a little, at changing people's minds. That last one was huge. The plate throwing and lunging at the wheel aren't nearly as important as the "take down the mags and let the armed people in", but they do grab the attention anyways.
